When a certificate expires and how to ask for more time.

Expiry
A course can set a validity period in months. The certificate expires that many months after its issue date. A course with no validity period does not expire. Your certificate and its verify page show the expiry date when there is one.
What an expired certificate shows
The verify page shows the status `expired`. The certificate is not revoked. It still opens.
Renew
You cannot renew a certificate yourself. You cannot take an exam again after you pass it. Email support@yachtmarinaguide.fyi and give your code. We decide each request. If we agree, we move the expiry date. The code does not change.
